Activities

  1. Matlab Training Programme was conducted for III rd year students by the reputed Chennai based company M/S Raghuram Associates for the duration of 7 days.
  2. One day Embedded system workshop was conducted by Mr. Cinil Abraham from M/S. Trident Tech Lab Chennai for all the final year students of various colleges in the Anna University, Coimbatore region.
  3. Young Electronics Engineers Society (YEES) conducted a National level Technical symposium for two days in which the students from various Engineering colleges presented their papers, participated in Quiz Programme and C - Debugging etc.
  4. ISTE Student Chapter Conference 2011 was conducted on 17th March 2011 on Network Security, Embedded Systems, Recent Trends in DSP, Recent trends in Composite Materials and Environmental Engineering and corporate expectations from future Managers.
  5. National Conference on Recent Trends in Communication Version 2.0 was organized on 18 th March 2011 and YEES organized a National level Technical Symposium on 19th March 2011.
  6. National conference on Recent Trends in Communication Version3 was organized on 09th Feb 2012.
  7. Young Electronics Engineers Society (YEES) has conducted YEES inaugural function on 28th Sep 2012.
  8. The company named “Villgro possible” presented “My Idea programme” on 23th Sep 2011 in which the students from various engineering colleges have participated and gained knowledge.
  9. One day guest lecture on DSP based FPGA programme has conducted by “Dr. MUTHAIYA” on 01 Feb 2014.
  10. National level technical symposium “FANAK’13”was organized on 11th Sep 2013.
  11. Our faculty members published their papers in various international journals.
  12. National conference on Recent Trends in Communication Version4 was organized on 07th March 2013.
  13. National conference on Recent Trends in Communication Version5 was organized on 22th March 2014.

The ECE Association

YEES-Young electronics engineer’s society [YEES] was formed by the ECE department in the year of 2003. It is mainly to motivate the students to get involved in various activities and get exposed to the latest trends in the fields electronics and communication.

More than 20 seminars have been conducted on various latest emerging trends in embedded system, mobile communication, GPS, Energy management etc., and also on personal development. All these seminars were conducted by eminent and skillful personalities. It also conducts national level technical symposiums every academic year. As per the feedback of the students the association helped them to expose their hidden talents to self improve the careers and also how to carry out them independently as engineers.

In the forthcoming year YEES association has planned to conduct more workshops, paper presentations and technical exhibitions to make the students inculcate their knowledge periodically.
